We are delighted to announce that MEF has sponsored its final batch of students from SMK Sapulut for this year! Twenty eight Form 1 students have been selected for financial aid under MEF’s Program Bantuan Galakan Pelajar, also known as G-Effort.
Sapulut, listed as one of the more remote and poorer districts in Sabah, will benefit from this 5-year program that aims to support the students in their secondary school journey and ensure long term assistance until they graduate while seeking to alleviate the financial burdens of their families who come from B40 backgrounds.
Ms Syerrarene Jussil, lead program officer and representative of the foundation briefed students and their families on the program’s objectives and the power of education.
The foundation is dedicated to provide comprehensive and holistic secondary education to disadvantaged students in rural areas of Sabah. We look forward to witnessing the positive impact of this program on their lives and the villages, one batch of student at a time and wish them the best of their journey towards a bright future!
Note: Sapulut is MEF’s fourth sponsored area in Sabah’s impoverished districts. This program extends its assistance to students from Kota Marudu, Pitas, and Matunggong, with a total target of 200 students for this year.
